Morning vs Night Skincare: What Goes When?

*Because timing matters as much as the product itself.*

You might be using great skincare products — but are you using them *at the right time of day*?

Let’s break down what your skin needs **in the morning vs at night**, and which products work best when.

**Morning Skincare: Protection Mode ON**

Your skin’s main job during the day? **Defense.** It’s up against sun, pollution, dust, and stress. So your morning routine should be all about *shielding* your skin.

**What to use in the morning:**

1. **Gentle Cleanser**

- Remove oil or sweat from the night. Don’t overdo it!

2. **Antioxidants (like Vitamin C)**

- They fight off environmental damage and brighten your skin.

3. **Moisturizer**

- Keeps your skin barrier healthy and prepped.

4. **Sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher)**

- Non-negotiable. Even on cloudy days or indoors.

**Optional:**

- **Lightweight serums for hydration** (like hyaluronic acid)

- **Eye creams** if you’re dealing with puffiness

**Night Skincare: Repair & Recharge**

While you sleep, your skin goes into **repair mode**. It’s the best time to use ingredients that support healing and cell turnover.

**What to use at night:**

1. **Cleanser (double cleanse if needed)**

- Remove makeup, sunscreen, and pollution.

2. **Exfoliants (2–3 times/week)**

- AHA, BHA, or PHA to remove dead skin cells. Not every night.

3. **Treatment Serums (Retinol, Peptides, etc.)**

- Use these to target issues like acne, pigmentation, or wrinkles.

4. **Moisturizer (Richer if skin is dry)**

- Lock in all the goodness and help with overnight repair.

**Optional:**

- **Sleeping masks** or **facial oils** for deeper hydration

- **Niacinamide or Ceramides** to soothe and repair the skin barrier

 Quick Tip:

Never use **retinol and vitamin C** together — they work best at different times (retinol at night, vitamin C in the morning).

Final Thought:

Skincare is not just about *what* you use, but also *when*.

Morning = protect.

Night = repair.

Get this right, and you’re already halfway to healthy, glowing skin.
