Before You Panic About Hair Fall, Read This.

Hair fall scares everyone.

Whether it’s a few strands on the pillow or a full clump during a shower — panic mode starts quickly.

But wait.

Before you assume something is wrong, or rush to buy random oils and shampoos, here’s what you really need to know.

💡 Hair Fall Is Normal (Up to a Limit)

Yes, 50 to 100 strands per day is considered normal. Hair grows in cycles:

Growing phase (Anagen)

Resting phase (Telogen)

Shedding phase (Exogen)

Not every hair is at the same stage. Some are meant to fall — to make space for new growth.

So don’t freak out just because you see hair on your comb. What matters is how much, how often, and what else is happening.

🚩 Signs You Should Worry

Let’s make it simple. If your hair fall is:

Sudden or patchy

Happening with visible thinning or bald patches

Associated with itching or dandruff

Lasting more than 3 months continuously

After a high fever, infection, or major stress

Then it’s time to consult a doctor.

🔍 Common Reasons We See at Our Clinic

At Dr. Rizwan’s Clinic in Shahjahanpur, these are the top causes we find in patients with hair fall:

1. Telogen Effluvium

After fever, dengue, typhoid, stress, or weight loss. Happens 2–3 months later.

2. Nutritional Deficiency

Low iron, vitamin D, B12, protein — especially in vegetarians and students with poor diet.

3. Hormonal Imbalance

PCOS in women, thyroid problems, or changes after childbirth.

4. Male/Female Pattern Hair Loss

Gradual thinning, usually in the front or crown.

5. Dandruff or Scalp Infections

Especially during monsoon and winter.

❌ What Not to Do

Please don’t make these common mistakes:

Changing 5 shampoos in 5 weeks

Oiling daily without washing (leads to scalp clogging)

Using hair packs made of eggs, onion, curd, etc. – can cause allergy or infection

Using steroid-based creams from medical shops (Yes, they give for hair too!)

Taking biotin on your own without checking what you actually need

✅ What We Recommend

At our clinic, the first thing we do is find the reason. Only then the treatment makes sense.

Our process usually includes:

• A simple history + scalp examination

• Blood tests, if needed

• Oral supplements (only the ones your body needs)

• Medicated shampoo or lotion

• PRP or mesotherapy in resistant or advanced cases

We also explain what’s normal, so you don’t panic unnecessarily.

👩‍⚕️ Real Talk From a Skin Doctor

Hair fall is frustrating, we know. But it’s also very treatable in most cases — if you get the right help early.

So before you panic, pause.

Get it checked. Treat the cause. And most importantly — don’t lose hope.
